The QuarkXPress 4 Book Karl-Peter Gottschalk   Rating: Excellent Pros: It is not called the Bible of QuarkXPress, but it is! Cons: More coverage of the most-used XTensions, please! Categories: Graphic design Authors: David Blatner Publisher: PeachPit Press,http://www.peachpit.com/ Berkeley Page count: 922 Illustrations: Monochrome ISBN: 0201696959 RRP: US $34.95, CA $48.95   I am not one to pay much attention to the quotes from industry figures that litter the front and back covers of books, especially when they come from senior officers within the developers of the software the book is about. The QuarkXPress 4 Book has two such quotes on it, both from Quark founder and Chief Technology Officer Tim Gill: "This is more than a good book about QuarkXPress. It is a great book." And, "If you're thinking of buying this book, take it on up to the cash register and do it. Go ahead." For once I have to agree, almost. This is not only a great book, it is an outstanding book. So outstanding that this is one of the easiest reviews I have written of late. And probably one of the shortest. So here goes. If you use QuarkXPress now, or are contemplating using it in the future, go out and get yourself a copy of this book right now. Just do it. There is nothing else out there quite like it.
